5 tips for getting the most out of GotSkill
Welcome aboard GotSkill! Let us show you around
Ahh, the mighty newsfeed. The continually updating, endless scrolling digital canvas, what better way to take a few moments and marvel at what the world is up to.
The GotSkill newsfeed is choc full of interesting content. From members posting their latest tasks, to interesting industry-relevant articles, this is your first stop to keep up to date as a GotSkill member.
To add your first post, simply click on the My Profile Button (the single person) and select 'write a new Post'.
Beyond entertainment and information, GotSkill was created as a tool to help you with your career. From recording your work history and recent projects to listing specific skills and processes, to storing (and verifying) your certificates and qualifications - you can use GotSkill to manage all of this.
To have a look around click on the My Profile button. (You’ll get another tutorial on all of the features in this section soon)
Did you know you can use GotSkill to message friends and co-workers? Well.. you can! This is a great feature for getting in touch with other people in your industry and making new friends.
After you make some friends
Before you send messages to anyone however, you need to add a friend first.
Because everybody needs friends, right? Luckily, the GotSkill Community is full of friendly and helpful people! Click on the Friends tab (the two person icon below) to start searching.
Want to change things up? Choose what you do/don't see? Check your achievements, badges and even play a welding game? Thats all found here in the settings.
This is also where you can *god forbid* … logout if you ever need to. But please don't do that 😉
We really hope you love what you see in the app, and hopefully there’s something in there that’ll help you get even more out of GotSkill.
